What do Cara Delevingne, Lilly Collins, and Emma Watson have in common? They make career with their appearance and are trendsetters of the current trend of bold eyebrows. While in the 90ies women plucked their brows until their absolute lack of functionality – best example: Christina Aguilera in her music video to Dirrty – we now celebrate a veritable comeback of bushy eyebrows. Whatever has triggered this excessive plucking – prominent eyebrows provide the eyes with more expression and are not only sexier in men. This is what we know again today.
Many women do just have one problem with that. They also would like to have “more”, but their brows simply seem to not grow or rather if they do, they only appear quite sparsely. Why? Through frequent removal of hair including the hair roots for years, growth has been reduced and the brows got thinner and thinner.
But thank God there is good news: We know several treatment methods, which can supply your brows – and by the way – also your hair new volume.
One of the ways to get rid of thin eyebrows is a treatment with autologous stem cells. The stem cells are isolated from the patient’s own fat tissue. The required fat is harvested by means of a gentle liposuction with microcannulas and the stem cells are injected into the areas desired immediately after extraction. Due to their especially growth-stimulating characteristics they do not only promote hair growth, but can also be used for skin rejuvenation in facial regions.
Another procedure for stimulating hair growth is platelet-rich plasma. It is a mixture of growth factors and platelets (thrombocytes), which originates from the patient’s own blood. Injection of PRP activates stem cells and brings about the desired “more”. Carried out as mesotherapy it is possible to only use growth factors as well.
If necessary and depending on the initial situation it is possible to combine the abovementioned therapies. Repetitions after several months can be useful to achieve an optimal result. Thus there is nothing else standing in your way to thick eyebrows like those of Cara, Lilly, and Emma.
