Beta Carotene or Melanotropin for Skin Tanning?

A patient wants to know more about possibilities for tanning:

I am quite light-skinned and I wanted to ask if I should make a beta carotene treatment or if a therapy with melanotropin would be useful.

She could of course take in beta carotene as it does no harm. In parallel or as alternative a custom melantotropin therapy can be performed.

The hormone melanotropin makes pigment cells produce more of the brown pigment color melanin, which tans the skin visibly and makes it more resistant to UV light. Consequently skin damage owing to sunburns – especially in people with light skin – can be avoided and the formation of pigmented spots reduced.

I will be glad to advise you on a therapy for skin tanning that is tailored to your individual skin type during a consultation appointment.
