Philosophy

DDr. Heinrich

In the legendary Golden Age, people lived in relative ease to more than 100 years old, staid attractive and vital, and only showed slight signs of aging such as grayer hair. Through their own fault, as morally embellished in folk legends, human beings lost this paradise and exchanged it for our modern world, for a life full of troubles, attrition of the body, and visible, unattractive aging.

Over the millennia alchemists and doctors in all cultures have been trying to restore a part of that Golden Age, namely remaining young, beautiful, and vital for as long as possible, to humanity. These efforts gave rise to two separate fields of modern medicine: cosmetic surgery and anti-aging.

In my concept of “New Cosmetic Surgery,” these two separate fields combine and complement one another. This is in keeping with an international trend: standard cosmetic surgery, which is frequently characterized by operations under general anesthesia, is giving way to an interdisciplinary cosmetic and rejuvenation medicine that all medical specialties are involved in developing. Hence autologous stem cells, bioidentical hormones, growth factors, and minimally invasive operations such as microcannular liposuction are replacing the old, invasive procedures with scalpels under general anesthesia more and more!

In order for you to look attractive and young, your body must radiate vigor and vitality! Bodies that look harmonious, natural, and genuine, with no visible evidence of surgical “improvement,” are considered “beautiful.” If the face or body appear enhanced and look unnatural in movement, as is the case with breasts augmented with implants, for example, the effect is not pleasing. Your “biological age” also needs to be taken into account when planning any rejuvenation and beautification of your body. The improvement of individual areas of the body with cosmetic surgery must be very subtle and gentle in order to achieve natural results.

By the way, my career decision to become a specialist/Board-certified General Practitioner was a result of this interdisciplinary development in cosmetic surgery, a development that I foresaw. The future in cosmetic surgery belongs to the interdisciplinarily trained esthetic practitioner who seeks the ideal solution for your particular esthetic problem from the repertoire of all medical fields and works with gentle, minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Obviously the esthetic practitioner – like any other cosmetic surgeon – must undergo comprehensive private specialty training in cosmetic procedures. One cannot learn the necessary skills and acquire profound practical experience to a sufficient extent in medical specialist internships. Education and training in cosmetic surgery for all medical specialties everywhere (including Austria) in practice takes place after hospital internships, in the scope of private further training in institutions such as the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, of which I have been a member since 1995. Because cosmetic surgery is a constantly changing field with new approaches being adopted continuously, further and advanced training on a regular basis is an absolute must for every cosmetic surgeon. Only then are they able to provide their patients with the best possible care.

I invite you to learn about the fascinating treatments of New Cosmetic Surgery, which will make you look (more) beautiful and younger in a gentle, natural manner! If you have questions, just write to me or schedule an appointment for a personal discussion. We also welcome any comments and feedback! We will gladly fulfill your particular wishes or needs, because individual and personal care is a priority for me and our team.

Sincerely,

DDr. Karl-Georg Heinrich
